Introduction

Biomedical knowledge discovery engine (BioKDE) is an AI powered platform designed for biomedical researchers to efficiently retrieve, manage, visualize, and discover knowledge by integrating unstructured text data (i.e. scientific literature) and structured data from public databases and high-throughput experimental datasets.

  • iExplore: utilizing a cutting-edge knowledge graph-based approach, it provides researchers with the ability to search specific relationships between selected entities within the BioKDE knowledge database. This database is composed of up-to-date PubMed articles, biological entity relation data from 40 public databases, and relation data derived from the analysis of public high-throughput genomics datasets. For instance, if users enter the name of a specific protein, BioKDE's iExplore product allows them to search for all the chemical compounds that interact with this protein. In addition, the relations have directions, making it a causal knowledge graph capable of inferring causal relationships. Users can refine their search results by searching for relationships within a specific context, such as disease, species, or tissue/cell line.
  • iSearch: it enables users to search for scientific literature or US patents by entering keywords related to their research interests.
